An Initiative of Agrovet Research & Development Foundation (ARDF)India’s Unified Platform for Animal Aid, Welfare & Legal Justice
“Empowering Compassion with Legal Protection & Justice for Every Animal”
The National Animal Aid & Legal Services Network (NAALSN) is a pioneering pan-India initiative established under the aegis of the Agrovet Research & Development Foundation (ARDF). It is envisioned as a unified national platform dedicated to strengthening animal welfare through legal support, advocacy, and collaborative networking.
NAALSN aims to bridge the critical gap between animal welfare practices and legal frameworks by bringing together professionals, organisations, and grassroots stakeholders who are committed to protecting animal rights and ensuring justice.
To create a compassionate and legally empowered ecosystem where every animal receives protection, care, and justice through a strong national network of professionals and stakeholders.
– To establish a nationwide network of animal welfare professionals, legal experts, and volunteers
– To provide legal aid, guidance, and consultancy in matters related to animal welfare and protection laws
– To promote awareness and advocacy on animal rights and legal provisions across India
– To support grassroots animal caregivers through structured coordination and legal backing
– To strengthen the implementation of existing animal welfare laws and policies
– Animal Welfare Organisations (NGOs)
– Advocates and Legal Professionals
– Veterinarians and Para-veterinary Staff
– Community Animal Health Service Providers
– Animal Feeders and Caregivers
– Researchers, Students, and Volunteers
– Policy Advocates and Social Activists
– Legal Support System: Provide structured legal assistance in cases of animal cruelty, neglect, and welfare violations
– Advocacy & Policy Engagement: Engage with policymakers and authorities to strengthen animal welfare laws
– Capacity Building: Conduct training, webinars, and awareness programs on legal and welfare aspects
– Rapid Response Network: Develop a coordinated response mechanism for urgent animal welfare issues
– Documentation & Research: Promote evidence-based advocacy through research, case documentation, and reporting
Despite the presence of laws for animal protection in India, their implementation often faces challenges due to lack of awareness, coordination, and legal support. NAALSN addresses this gap by creating a structured, professional, and collaborative ecosystem where:
– Animal welfare efforts are supported by legal strength
– Field-level workers receive institutional backing
– Cases of cruelty are addressed with timely and effective legal action
– A unified national voice advocates for stronger enforcement and policy reforms
NAALSN operates through a multi-dimensional approach:
– Networking: Building connections across states and sectors
– Legal Integration: Linking animal welfare with legal expertise
– Community Engagement: Empowering grassroots stakeholders
– Digital Platform: Facilitating communication, reporting, and coordination
– Collaboration: Partnering with government bodies, institutions, and organisations
We invite all individuals and organisations working towards animal welfare and justice to join this national movement. Together, we can create a system where compassion is supported by law and action is driven by collaboration.
