About the Forum:
Global Forum for Veterinary AYUSH Systems (GFVAS) is a specialized society initiated under the ARDF to foster knowledge, research, advocacy, and practice of traditional veterinary medicine systems—namely Veterinary Homeopathy and Veterinary Ayurveda—in India and across the globe. GFVAS serves as a collective platform for veterinarians, researchers, academicians, and practitioners dedicated to holistic animal healthcare through AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) modalities.
Vision:
To be a global leader in promoting, standardizing, and integrating AYUSH-based veterinary systems into mainstream animal healthcare for sustainable livestock management and One Health approach.
Mission:
- To revive and modernize traditional veterinary practices using scientific evidence and research.
- To empower veterinary professionals with training, networking, and recognition in AYUSH-based therapies.
- To collaborate with academic institutions, research bodies, and policy makers to mainstream Veterinary AYUSH practices.
- To advocate policy inclusion and regulatory support for AYUSH-based veterinary healthcare systems.
Objectives:
- Research & Documentation: Promote scientific research, clinical trials, and documentation of traditional veterinary remedies and ethnoveterinary practices.
- Capacity Building: Organize trainings, workshops, conferences, and certification courses for Veterinary Homeopathy and Veterinary Ayurveda practitioners.
- Global Collaboration: Establish partnerships with national and international AYUSH institutions and forums.
- Policy Advocacy: Work with government agencies for policy reforms, recognition, and funding for AYUSH veterinary systems.
- Resource Hub: Create an open-access digital repository of validated veterinary AYUSH resources, formulations, and practices.
- Recognition & Awards: Institute awards and honors to recognize outstanding contributions in Veterinary Homeopathy and Ayurveda.
- Publication & Communication: Publish newsletters, journals, manuals, and e-bulletins dedicated to Veterinary AYUSH.
